Sharron’s experience in staff development and education, and as an Approved Certified Dementia Practitioner Instructor from the NCCDP will provide your staff with the knowledge, inspiration, and the tools they need to make your healthcare organization stand out from the rest.

What is a Certified Dementia Practitioner?

A Certified Dementia Practitioner is a healthcare professional who has attended a live training program on dementia/Alzheimer's care sponsored by the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners.

Dementia Care 8 hour training:

• Various Types of Dementia (Reversible and Non-reversible)
• Communicating with a person with dementia
• Need for rehabilitation for dementia patients
• Wandering
• Behavior Issues
• Managing Nutrition
• Preventing Incontinence
• End of Life care

At the end of the 8 hour training program attendees will receive a certificate of completion to lead to Dementia Certification with the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners http://nccdp.org.

$185/individual registration and group/facility discounts are offered.
