Sharron has worked 28 years as a Registered Nurse and for the past 6 years as a Director of Clinical Services for a home health care agency, and a Staff Development Coordinator at a dementia care facility. She is a trainer, professional speaker and geriatric care manager.
Sharron is truly a creative person, with a passion for educating and helping others. She enjoys helping others develop a better understanding of health care issues related to dementia, autism or mild brain injuries. Sharron enjoys identifying what the problem(s) are, and the steps needed to improve their situation.
After obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in nursing from Prairie View A&M. Sharron spent 10 years working as a Rehabilitation Nurse and later helped George start and operate a senior and handicapped transportation service for 10 years. It was during that time, Sharron was involved in an auto accident and sustained a Mild Brain Injury. It tookSharron almost 7 years to totally recovery.
During my recovery process George and Sharron had a son. He was later diagnosed with autism with developmental delays. It was after the diagnosis that George and Sharron engulfed themselves in every piece of literature related to Pervasive Developmental Sharron then “discovered” her passion for teaching others about autism. Her nursing and life experiences have led me to specialize in Dementia Care, Autism, and Mild Brain Injury.
Education and Training:
George worked as a Rehabilitation Counselor helping employees injured on the job return back to gainful employment. As healthcare speakers, and trainers,George and Sharron have conducted seminars and provided consultation to individuals/families regarding dementia or autism.
George D. Williams has over 25 years of business ownership, sales, and marketing experience. He is currently working as a speaker and writer in the areas of employment and housing for autistic adults. George’s personal philosophy is hard work and honesty are the cornerstones to success. He actively seeks training opportunities with companies to educate them regarding the advantages of hiring individuals on the autism spectrum. George is the father of an autistic teenager.
After receiving his Master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling, George worked as a Rehabilitation Counselor helping people injured the job. George ould assess the client's injury, skills, their needs, and collaborated with attorneys, and employers to assist the individual to return back to gainful employment. It was during this time when he noticed a serious need in Denver, transportation for those with disabilities. In 1987 George started a senior and disability transportation company that grew tremendously. The business existed for 10 years before George decided to pursue other areas of interests.
